Shannen Doherty says she will be part of the Riverdale tribute to Luke Perry, her former Beverly Hills 90210 castmate.
The 52-year-old Perry, who played Fred Andrews, Archie’s dad, on Riverdale, died in March after suffering a major stroke.
The Vancouver-filmed CW/Netflix show will honour the actor in its Season 4 premiere titled In Memoriam.
On her Instagram account Sunday, Doherty confirmed she’ll will be guest in episode as a tribute to her former TV love.
“I am deeply honored to pay tribute to Luke on Riverdale. The care in which this show takes in honoring his memory is beautiful. He is missed. Today. Tomorrow. Forever,” she wrote.
Doherty is in Vancouver shooting the upcoming 90210 reboot for Fox.
BH90210, which it will be known as when it airs in August, shot its own Luke Perry tribute earlier this month.
In the episode, the show’s cast members will break TV’s fourth wall and talk directly to the viewers about Perry, who shot to stardom in 1990s with his portrayal of Dylan McKay in the original series.
